Members of Brazil's Movimento dos Sem-Teto (Roofless Movement) shout slogans in the early morning from the balconies of the former Brazilian Palace Hotel in downtown Sao Paulo, to protest against their eviction. The building, which spans 15 storeys, was taken over about two months ago by 1,200 people from the movement. Each of the 43 suites of the hotel, which was in operation until the 1980s, has been occupied by at least nine people, usually from the same family. The occupants will be evicted by court order later in the day.
