On the pages of National Geographic and NASA site, from time to time, there are amazing digital images. Most were obtained by using the landscape simulation Terragen.
Since 1999, Dane Kish Vinenbosa, has been working with different versions of this program. Most of the images presented in this release were made using digital elevation models derived from NASA satellites, including the number and the unit "Mars Global Surveyor".
Keys Vinenbos created many images for National Geographic. Displayed here is the entire collection of fantastic images of modern and ancient Mars, when the world still had water, atmosphere and ice. [29 Shots]

2. Gusev Crater on ancient Mars. Once upon a time there will land rover "Spirit MER2003". Panorama of the ancient world after the dust storm. (Image Credit: data: NASA / Art: Kees Veenenbos)
3. Mariner of the valley. The consequences of dust storm in the canyon Koprat (ahead) in the valleys of the Mariner. (Image Credit: data: NASA / Art: Kees Veenenbos)
4. Image of Mars Noachianskoy era. Type the planet about 4 billion years ago. In the photo shows the crater, located on the Great Northern Plain (Vastitas Bolearis), filled with water. A large lake located in the lower right corner of the image - is an area of the meridian. Here rover "Opportunity" found evidence of an inland sea. This image was made for the July issue of National Geo in 2005. (Image Credit: data: NASA / Art: Kees Veenenbos)
