Child Labor in Indian coal mines

The Indian Hills District Jaintia, located in the northeast state of Meghalaya, there are thousands of young workers, some of which are not even eight. Wanting to start as early as possible to earn money to support their families. They go from school to work at mines in very hazardous conditions. Officially, child labor in India is prohibited, and allegedly met safety standards in mines, but loopholes in the law allows you to bypass many restrictions.

Junior miners go down the stairs from the braided branches dug into the coal mines, squeeze in a "rat hole", so small that they can not even walk on your knees. Lying flat, they work with primitive tools and bare hands: human labor is much cheaper machine.
