Paper airplane travel from Germany to Australia

Samsung trying this to just prove that its memory cards are durable enough for all of your high altitude paper airplane launching needs.

"We only went and did it! Check out all of the action from the launch day - we launched 200 planes into space with the help of a helium-filled balloon."

Each plane is carrying a Samsung SD Memory Card with a message that someone, somewhere in the world has uploaded. The planes were dropped from 36,500 metres over Berlin, Germany. The distance between Germany to Australia is approximately 10,000 miles. The planes were launched on 17th January, and so far, there are preliminary reports of landings in Australia, South Africa, Russia, Canada, India and in the U.S. [Project Space Planes.com]
